Child Nutrition Announcements Free and Reduced Meal ProgramA new meal benefits application must be submitted each school year for those interested in the free and reduced meal program. Only one application is needed for each household, unless the application is for a foster child, run away, homeless or migrant student.
Students are eligible to receive meal benefits on last years status only until October 4, 2010. After October 4th students without a processed application on file will no longer be eligible for the free/reduced priced meal program and will go to a full paid status. For assistance in completing the form please call 215-6536. The 2010-11 Meal Applications are available at the TISD School Nutrition Office (208 West Ave. F), the school cafeteria or the school office. Other Benefits Applying for the meal program provides other opportunities for High School students: Fee waived for SAT, ACT testing and College Applications, Reduced Summer School Program Fees, Reduced Fees for AP Test. Information about a student participation in the program is confidential. Summer Feeding ProgramSummer meals are served to children at no cost. Adult meals are available for $2.50. Participating sites include Bethune Early Childhood Center, Cater Elementary, Bonham Middle School, Scott Elementary School, Ralph Wilson Youth Club Pavilion, and the Wilson Park Recreation Center.
